    • CCB Therapist Internship Program

Are you a student looking for an internship opportunity in a hands on, suppportive environment?  CCB is proud of our legacy of providing excellent internship opportunities to local students.

CCB offers rich and intensive internship experiences at both the undergraduate and graduate level.  Clients, the agency, and the students work together to create a symbiotic living-learning environment that strengthens the entire CCB community.

      As an intern, you will:

      • Practice skills gleaned in the classroom in real-time client sessions
      • Shadow trained therapists in client sessions
      • Build relationships with clients during their treatment
      • Receive training in trauma and attachment-based interventions, informed by interventions such as Play Therapy, Theraplay, EMDR, CBT, and other evidence-based practices
      • Follow the psychotherapy process from initial psychological evaluations through client-led treatment planning until closure
      • Gain exposure to diverse populations, disorders, treatments, case conceptualizations
      • Carry an individual caseload of 8-10 clients (graduate only)
      • Lead psychotherapy groups
      • Receive clinical supervision both in group and individual contexts
      • Engage with community partners to advance trauma-informed practices and mental health strategies in organizations throughout the region
      • Create projects tailored to your own skills, interests, and learning objectives
